The COP was held annually from 1979 until 1998. Beginning the COP in 2000, it was held every two years until 2004. As the competition grew, so did its venues. From hotels, the contest moved to venues like the Philippine International Convention Center, World Trade Center and the Clamshell in Intramuros.
Chefs on Parade is known as the longest running culinary competition in the country. The contest pays tribute to the Filipino chef, finding the best in the industry and recognizing their talents and skills as chefs.Its objective is to highlight the creative talents of both students and professionals in the industry.
